Our Guest: Brooke Winder
Dr. Brooke Winder, PT, DPT, OCS is an Associate Professor in the Dance program at California State University, Long Beach, serving as Coordinator of the Dance Science B.S. degree program.
She’s also a licensed physical therapist treating through her practice, Renew Motion Physical Therapy, where she helps patients manage pelvic floor and orthopedic concerns through virtual or mobile visits and backstage care.
Her special interest is in researching and teaching about pelvic floor health and issues in dancers and performing artists.
She has presented on this topic for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, the Performing Arts Medicine Association, and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections meetings, built a continuing education course for physical therapists called The Performer’s Pelvis on the Embodia platform, and published work in the Journal of Dance Medicine and Science.
