About the Host

The podcast is hosted by Dr. Alyssa Arms, PT, DPT, OCS — a dance-specialist physical therapist with 35+ years of training in multiple dance genres. Alyssa maintains a robust personal practice as a dancer herself: taking classes, training with private coaches, performing, and competing. She is also faculty in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program and operates her own dance-focused clinic, Back in Step PT, in Colorado. This combination of clinical expertise, teaching, and long-term artistic experience allows her to bridge the gap between movement science and real-world dance culture.
