Updated March 12, 2021.
To read more about the rules/guidelines, you can find them here.
Here’s what I’m doing to comply with those rules for dealing with COVID:
- Virtual visits will continue to be an option for everyone.
- Options are for 15-, 30-, or 45-minute appointments.
- Just like the appointments that you’re used to, we can use these visits for a variety of purposes:
- Teaching you ways to self-manage pain and other symptoms.
- Creating or revamping exercise programs.
- Discussing other concerns and how to address them, like stress management, nutrition, use of a brace, advising on shoes, pillows, etc.
- If you are sick (with anything!), please do not come to your appointment.
- Call or email the office to reschedule your appointment.
- If you arrive & are sick, your appointment will be cancelled.
- All appointments will be scheduled 15 minutes apart to allow time for thorough cleaning of all high-touch surfaces.
- I’ve been able to get medical-grade sanitizer (approved for use against COVID) that will be used for this purpose.
- The office door will remain locked at all times.
- This is to ensure that no one can come into the office unexpectedly, whether it’s for a delivery, a solicitor, or another patient arriving.
For in-person sessions:
- All patients must wear face coverings or masks throughout your entire session.
- This is per state regulation for medical practices.
- Ideally, each patient will have their own cloth or surgical mask to wear.
- For those who do not have access, I will have disposable surgical masks available.
- I will also be wearing a surgical mask & face shield at all times.
- As many contactless payment options
- Built-in payment options when scheduling appointments online
- Electronic invoicing via email
- Because PT is a high-contact service, all patients will be screened for symptoms.
- The sign-in via QR includes symptom screening
- All patients are subject to a temperature check with a no-touch infrared thermometer.
During in-person sessions:
- Follow social distancing guidelines whenever possible.
- Gloves:
- I will be wearing gloves throughout each appointment and putting new ones on for each appointment.
- If you want gloves before handling any exercise equipment, for example, I will have then available for use.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations in the office.
- I’ve purchased covers for items like foam rollers.
- If a roller is used, the cover will be removed and replaced with a new cover before the next patient. These will be laundered, just like the other linens.
